Our report is not just a celebration of our endeavours, it’s our honest reflection on our approach to sustainability. We have a responsibility to share our impact, our successes and challenges with our key stakeholders: customers, employees, partners and the people of the communities in which we operate. Our approach to sustainability is not just about managing, reducing and avoiding risk and costs, it is about engaging with our clients, partners and staff to innovate, to create new ways of thinking and be ahead of the curve. Our experience has shown that this journey of engagement is extremely valuable to our business and so this report is entitled the Power of Engagement.
Looking to the future and the rapidly evolving world, the successful companies of the future will be those that integrate business and employees’ personal values and I’m deeply proud of the path the company is treading in this area- from the launch of our progamme with a strong environmental focus in 2007 to the launch of this years “Dream Day” with a clear commitment to creating better lives for our staff.
Our customers, staff and partners want to know that when they work with MCI they are confident they are doing the right things socially, economically and environmentally, and we equally understand that the best employees and partners for our business are those whose values we share and where their engagement supports a better world.
